Online Education is a 100-billion-dollar industry that has seen exponential growth in recent years. From Students to Corporate Employees, Online Education has become a stepping stone to growth in every sector. Students have been relying on online education for extra knowledge on subjects and easier techniques to crack exams. Corporate Employees have been relying on this sector for certification courses and skill development that in turn is helping them grow faster than usual.

The online education sector was on the rise since the past decade and it looked ready to affect the offline education system in the coming years. And then a global crisis emerged in the form of COVID-19 Pandemic which put the sector years ahead of its game. The pandemic though disastrous for humanity has helped some industries grow rapidly and the Education sector can be placed among the top 10. Keeping aside the factors that are now compelling people to look towards this solution, online learning was always a better alternative to traditional education. Let us see how that is.

1. Convenience

Online learning reduces the burden of travel to the physical location of the class. Studies show that Indians on average spend one and half hours of their day in the traffic which is higher than the global average. Online learning gifts us this time to use it for other activities alongside reducing the stress of travel thereby increasing productivity.

2. Improved Focus
People opt for a course since they are greatly interested in the course. For a person to sit through a class where there are a hundred others like us and concentrate on studying might seem a bit problematic. E-learning eliminates this issue and helps us study in an environment that is most suitable for us to study.

3. Re-Learning
With all the courses made available for the user to rewatch and relearn, there is never a topic that can be left because it was not properly understood or misunderstood. Offline education lacks this feasibility since there are no professors around when doubt arises and even when there are, nobody will repeat it again and again until the moment you understand it because you will be among thousands of others, remember?

4. Quality Teaching
There are some places that are reputed for coaching certain courses. The Best example is the town of Kota in Rajasthan where thousands of IIT JEE Aspirants flock, to get the best coaching available. Though there are thousands of coaching centers available there, there will always be students that can not make it into the final cut. And what about the students that can’t travel to far off places like that and had to settle for local coaching centers?

Online coaching centers eliminate these barriers and make the lectures of experienced and reputed professors from any place available to students in every corner of India. All they need to get into the class is internet access and a Smartphone.

5. Low Fee
Though this is a tricky point to emphasize, due to the rise in the number of online learning platforms, the courses are becoming cost-effective. With more experienced professors offering their services in the online platforms, there is a great chance that this cost would be further reduced and becomes affordable to every student. There are already many platforms that are offering IIT JEE/ NEET coaching online at an affordable price pan in India like Yupp Master, Byju’s, Toppr, Aha Guru, Digital Aakash, etc. and many of them are reasonably priced.

With the burden of cost lifted from their heads, students would be able to concentrate better on studies and this would directly reflect on their results. This, though seems like a factor that doesn’t concern students, is a major factor in the lives of many acting both as a motivator and a deterrent.
